How to Search

You can enter either Welsh or English words in the search box as both results are displayed.

Click on 'Search' or press the 'Return' button.

If matches are found, the results will be displayed. Remember to click on the 'more information' link on the right to see details about context, status and parts of speech.
Accents on Welsh words
English-Welsh searches: In search results, all accents
are displayed except for circumflexes on the letters 'w'
and 'y' in words such as 'grwp' and 'ty'. In such cases,
a note is provided explaining that a circumflex (to bach)
is required.
Welsh-English searches: TermCymru will recognise all accents except for circumflexes on the letters 'w' and 'y'. Therefore, words such as 'grwp' and 'ty' should be entered without circumflexes.
