Status 1 is the highest; status 5 is the lowest.

- Recommendations of external term standardization panels, which have been endorsed and accepted by the Welsh Assembly Government Translation Service.
- Titles of Welsh Assembly Government publications (including Statutory Instruments).
- Titles of documents published by other bodies.
- Names of counties and constituencies, titles of Ministers and Assembly committees, names of official bodies etc.
- Common and proper nouns which are generally accepted as being above and beyond dispute.

Translation Service's internal Terminology Group.

- Terms recommended or approved by the Welsh Government Translation Service's individual terminology

- Terms recommended or approved by the legal translators
for use in Assembly subordinate legislation.

|
- Terms suggested by individual translators.
- Terms found in various electronic and paper publications.
